Menu Redesign
A refreshed visual identity for a café that values good taste —
on the plate and on paper.
“The Brief & the Challenge”
The café wanted to refresh its menu — not in content, but in design. The previous layout felt cluttered and didn’t reflect the thoughtful, modern atmosphere of the place. The goal was to create a new structure that feels calm, contemporary, and inviting. With clear typography, balanced spacing, and a subtle color palette, the menu should become part of the dining experience — not a barrier to it.
“Design Decisions & Creative Direction”
I started by analyzing the old layout and identifying key objectives: clarity, hierarchy, and brand alignment. The new design introduced structured sections, generous white space, and consistent spacing to guide the reader naturally.
A modern type pairing added warmth and legibility, while accent colors drawn from the café’s branding reinforced recognition. Light graphic elements and fine lines helped organize the content without distraction, creating a design that feels both functional and elegant.
“Results & Impact”
The redesigned menu became more than just an information sheet — it turned into an expression of the brand itself. Guests found it easier to read and appreciated the calm, refined aesthetic. Staff noticed smoother interactions and faster decisions.
This project shows how thoughtful layout, typography, and visual balance can elevate everyday touchpoints into meaningful brand experiences.
“Refining the Details That Shape Experience”
Design doesn’t just decorate — it defines how we perceive and interact.
This project reminded me how even a simple menu can influence mood, clarity, and the way guests connect with a brand. Thoughtful design lives in the details — in every line, margin, and typographic choice that turns functionality into feeling.
“It’s all connected by design”
This menu redesign is a small example of how thoughtful print design can shape
an entire experience. From the choice of paper texture to the rhythm of typography,
print remains one of the most tangible ways to express a brand’s identity.
Every fold, margin, and type detail becomes part of the story —
one that guests can literally hold in their hands.
Good design connects the visual with the emotional —
whether it’s a menu, a brochure, or an entire brand system.
